Field Sobriety Tests

Police will administer numerous tests in order to establish whether or not they have Reasonable Cause to force you to take a breath test. Common examples are counting backwards from 99 to 66, reciting your ABC's, asking how much education you have, using a pen and asking you to have your eyes follow the pen, Walk and Turn, and One Legged Stand. See below for some of the standardized tests that are performed routinely when an officer has a suspicion of drinking and driving.
